What makes the Weight Release for Women program different than other weight loss programs?
Most weight loss programs go like this: 1) Diet and exercise (with great effort and deprivation); 2) Lose weight; 3) Feel happy about yourself, and your life. It’s likely you’ve been through this process – numerous times, since it is not a permanent solution.
The Weight Release for Women program goes like this: 1) Release old, painful memories and emotions causing you to make poor eating choices; 2) Feel happy about yourself and in control of your life; 3) Naturally and gradually watch your body release extra weight and return to your healthiest size and shape.

What kind of diet do I have to be on with the Weight Release for Women program?
There is NO DIET. In fact, in this program you are prohibited from weighing and measuring anything – yourself or your foods. The Weight Release for Women approach is successful because you are required to stop focusing on food. Change happens by removing the emotional reasons for poor eating choices using the very effective tools of Guided Imagery and EFT Meridian Tapping.
As you move through the nine weeks of the program and especially beyond, as long as you keep using the Guided Imagery and EFT Meridian Tapping techniques when you feel you need them, you will find your weight gradually shifting back to what is healthiest for you.

What about exercise?
Well, there is no way around the fact that you have to move your body in order to utilize the fuel you put into it rather than storing it in the form of fat. However, the Weight Release for Women program helps you discover the kinds of “healthy movement” you love to do and that’s where you focus. It might be dancing or hiking or any number of activities. You just have to love it to be doing it as part of our program.
Good news – as a result of using your Guided Imagery sessions you’ll automatically find yourself feeling excited about getting out there and doing what you love on a daily basis!

So how does the Weight Release for Women program work?
It’s pretty simple. Two class workbooks take you through the nine weeks of the program one day at a time. Nine Guided Imagery CDs (one for each week of the program) create natural changes for you. The 90 minute DVD “The Tapping Solution” teaches the powerful tool of EFT Meridian Tapping, a cornerstone of the Weight Release for Women program. As you identify your own old, painful “memories in need of healing” you will them losing their charge and becoming “non-issues” and then your weight will begin to release and normalize easily and effortless in the course of life.

How hard is the Weight Release for Women program?
What makes this program so effective is your willingness to look honestly at the emotional reasons for poor eating choices. For some women, identifying memories in need of healing is easy and freeing. For others it can be challenging to go back into potentially difficult memories – yet it is also just as freeing. By the end of Class Three of the program, many old memories are already being cleared away and your life is noticeably shifting to a feeling of being back in control – or in control for the first time!

Is Guided Imagery like hypnosis? I don’t think I can be hypnotized.
Guided Imagery is gentle and relaxing and yes, it is very similar to hypnosis. As you follow the positive suggestions in each session, you’ll settle in, relax, and enjoy the calming, soothing voice and music. Anyone who wants to benefit from Guided Imagery (or hypnosis) can! It may feel different than you imagined – you are wide awake and you choose exactly what to do with the suggestions given.

Do I have to give up my favorite foods?
Please don’t. Deprivation is not part of this program. As you listen to the Guided Imagery sessions you will find several things happening naturally: you will be drawn to the foods that give you energy and make you feel great; you will find yourself eating about half as much as you used to – because that’s all you want; you will rediscover your intuitive knowing about what foods work best for your body and health and in what quantities; you will be taught how to release food cravings on the spot; you will partake of any food you would like – including your favorite foods - in natural moderation now.

Do I have to buy special foods to do the Weight Release for Women program?
Nope. You’ll probably finding yourself wanting to switch from processed foods to more fresh vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, proteins. But not because you have to – you’ll find them irresistible!

How will my family deal with me taking time to do the Weight Release for Women program?
As women, many of us are in the habit of taking care of others first and putting ourselves last. And we’ve trained our families to expect that from us! For many women a big part of the Weight Release for Women program is retraining both themselves and their families. The daily assignments require 30 to 60 minutes – when’s the last time you had that kind of time to yourself? What we hear is that, as families see the positive changes in the woman’s emotional balance, energy, and physical health, they are thrilled. They may even be the ones to say, “Have you taken your time for yourself today?”

Is this program just for weight loss?
Great question. The positive results women get from the Weight Release for Women program are far-reaching, unpredictable, and unlimited. Without even noticing, women have found themselves sleeping through the night with no medication after years of insomnia, “forgetting” to smoke, getting along well with loved ones, accepting others easily, laughing more, being free of pain after years of debilitating back and joint pain, responding with patience where they used to respond with anger … and on and on and on. I’ve tried everything and failed. Why should I believe this will work any better?
The only way to believe it will work is to begin your Weight Release for Women journey and experience it for yourself. As a result of the feedback of the women who have completed the Weight Release for Women program, we no longer set goals. Instead you will identify very specific directions in which you would like to move. In our program there is no failure – there is only progress. As you get more and more comfortable with your emotions and your body, you will be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that this program is “working.”

How long will it take for me to lose the weight I need to lose?
We encourage you to be realistic. Whether you have been carrying 100 extra pounds for 15 years or 10 extra pounds since you gave birth, you will need to be patient and allow for gradual weight release. Slow and steady wins the race – only gradual release is permanent. You already know that. Many women report that the bulk of their weight release happens after the initial nine weeks of the program. Other women tell us they take out their CDs and workbooks for years whenever they feel the need for extra support or they are ready to get down off the next plateau. There is no rush. As you feel more balanced emotionally and physically you will enjoy finding your clothing sizes going down and your energy going up. You are establishing a new way of life – for the rest of your life.

Can men do the Weight Release for Women program?
Wellll – yes and no. The approach of the Weight Release for Women program is unique to women – as are most of the issues involved in weight and food issues. This program was written especially for you, based on years of experience and fine tuning with the input of the women who have come through this program.
That said, men often listen to the CDs at night along with their partners and find themselves sleeping beautifully, choosing healthier foods and even feeling relief from long-standing pain!

What do you mean by LIVE CLASS Teleseminars?
Every two weeks everyone who is in the Weight Release for Women program has the opportunity to attend a one hour phone call with Janet Field, author of the Weight Release for Women program. During that hour Janet teaches some of the concepts from your workbooks, conducts an EFT Meridian Tapping session with a volunteer while you tap along, answers individual questions from students, and occasionally does a live Guided Imagery session! Attending the Teleseminars will accelerate your progress in the program. The best part of the calls is “meeting” other women from around the country, listening to their challenges and progress, and realizing how much you have in common with them – very supportive!
